Agostino Viola was born on 7.11.1960 in Santa Maria Capua Vetere (CE);
At the age of 3 he followed his family to Milan;
Here he attends Accounting school in the morning but, in order to cultivate his artistic passion, at the same time he enrolls in the evening classes of the School of Applied Arts in Industry at Castello Sforzesco;
1975 - onwards Participation in painting group exhibitions, with various initiatives and recognitions at national level, already began at the age of 15 by attending the "Il Duomo" gallery in the center of Milan;
1980 - shows, during the military period, in the Bison Gallery of the city of Palmanova in Friuli, together with two other military artists too;
At the end of the year of military service, he passes the entrance exam and enrolls in the first year of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan; he will then finish his studies, moving to the Marches, to the Academy of Macerata, graduating in Painting with a thesis in Art History on the myth of the Great Mother;
In this Region he has the opportunity to meet poets from the University of Urbino; maestro Domenico Cantatore, with whom he embarks on a friendly and spiritually fruitful relationship; the RAI director Pino Galeotti from Rome.
He feeds on the essentiality of the medieval architecture of the place and on the variety of the landscape between the sea and the mountains; as well as the preciousness of Carlo Crivelli's fifteenth-century painting; the chromatic visions of a Licini and the sculptural intensity of a Fazzini;
From this Region he will also remain infected by the long goldsmith tradition that can be found in it.
1983 - onwards he Makes some personal exhibitions in the historic cities of the Marches, such as the city of Fermo;
1985 - onwards he deepens the technique of bronze sculpture and goldsmithing;
- In these years he became a producer of silver gift items, acquiring the experience of production and the use of techniques of moulds, casting, galvanic baths, etc ...
1999 - he gets married and returns to the Milanese hinterland where he currently lives and works;
2002 - Solo exhibition in the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Cernusco sul Naviglio;
- Personal sacred art exhibition in the Sanctuary of Maria Church in Cernusco sul Naviglio;
- Participates with the large bronze sculpture "The City" in an important exhibition on the City of Cernusco in the Palazzo Comunale;
- Subsequently the same work, which depicts the merciful gaze of God on the "city", symbol of the world, is donated to Cardinal C.M. Martini from Citizenship and from the Cernusco Church before he left for the Holy Land;
- bronze sculpture for the event "Rewards the best showcase" City of Cernusco s/N
2007 - personal exhibition at the Dugnani Mill in Sant'Agata di Cassina de' Pecchi;
- one-man show of Digital Photographic Art entitled "The hiccup of beauty" at the Club Conti in Milan, curated by Prof. Carlo Franza;
2008 - he resumed contact with Prof. Armando Ginesi, his art history professor, with whom he created some museum and editorial works in the Marche region, such as "Cristo Vite" for the Pinacoteca del vino of Cupra Montana ( AN);
2013 he devoted himself mainly to sacred art and jewelry;
2016 - restoration of devotional statues in the Church of Camporicco in Cassina de' Pecchi (MI);
- stained glass windows in the Church of Santa Maria Ausiliatrice in Cassina de' Pecchi (MI);
2017 - restoration of the polychrome plaster statue of Saint Joseph with Child for the Parish of Saints Nazaro and Celso in Bussero;
- Various restorations of statues in polychrome plaster;
2021 - Stained glass window for the rose window in Santa Maria Ausiliatrice of Cassina de' Pecchi;
2022 >> - Restoration of sacred furnishings in gold and silver
